Ruth's Chris Steak House
Here's a rare lunch opportunity designed to offer tribute to a rare individual:
the secretary. Disclaimer: let clarity and reason prevail; whether he or she--yours, mine or ours--I think secretaries
are the backbone of a company. They should be lavished with praise and a great lunch during secretaries week and
given respect and more money the rest of the year. Ruth's Chris Steak House can take care of the first item--great
lunch-you're on your own for the rest of the deal. Secretaries Week is one of two times during the year that Ruth's
Chris opens for weekday lunches (the other time is around Christmas). Bosses take note: April 20-24 is secretaries
week. Pick up the phone now and make a reservation. Do not delegate this task to your secretary. For appetizers,
ya gotta love shrimp Remoulade cocktail ($9.95), Louisiana seafood gumbo ($4.95), or go for the escargot and artichoke
hearts ($8.50). Now, of course, salads and side dishes are offered to round things out, but the piece de resistance
is the main course: steaks, chops, lobster and crab legs. Pick your favorite and pick your portion, then decide
which potatoes and veggies you want to accompany your meal. The filet is still my favorite ($19.95 or $24.95).
For more marbling, the ribeye is your choice ($25.95). One of the most awesome sights you'll ever see is the Porterhouse
for 2, 3 or 4 persons ($27.95 per person). The lamb chops ($27.95) are hand-cut and cooked to perfection. If you
saved room for dessert, do not miss the bread pudding with whiskey sauce ($4.50). The restaurant is available for
lunch at anytime (with advance arrangements) for parties of 30 or more. That would be a nice touch for the boss
who understands the true meaning of the term human resources.
