Beau Nash
By Jim White
Beau knows business
lunches. If you’re looking for top-level food, service and
atmosphere, Beau Nash in the Crescent Court Hotel brings it all
together.
The award winning New
American Grill is a lustrous setting for your high-level business
activities-especially in the beautiful garden dining room the
Conservatory.
New Executive Chef
Bob Conte and his staff never miss a beat. The food is in tempo no
matter the season or occasion.
During our steamy
summer, I especially like some of the lighter choices offered
here-Spa Cuisine. The nutritionist at the Crescent Spa signs off on
the recipes.
These healthy-but
tasty-items are noted on the menu with a crescent icon. For example,
Beau Nash gilled corn and smoked chicken soup (cup $5/bowl $8) is an
excellent starter. Tortilla salad with black bean cakes and jalapeno
dressing ($9.50) and Honey glazed Bobwhite quail with dried cherry
basmati rice and spaghetti squash ($15) are good main course
selections.
Power steak? Grilled
filet mignon with cheddar cheese scalloped potatoes is just the
ticket ($19).
The grilled Atlantic
salmon with horseradish mashed potatoes is succulent ($17).
I also like the angel
hair pasta with lump crabmeat and basil pesto ($19).
Three phenomenal
sandwiches are offered. My favorite is the grilled ahi tuna with
arugula leaves, lemon mayonnaise and rosemary roasted potatoes
($12.50). I was promised-but never got-a “bite” of Beau-L-T with
applewood smoked bacon ($11). Apparently, it was too good for my
dining companion to part with. Griddled pork loin with chipotle
black bean puree, manchego cheese and yucca chips (yummy) round out
the sandwiches ($10).
You’ll also find
one of the best chicken Caesar’s around ($9.50).
Posh and polished,
but not stuffy, sums up the dining experience here.
You’ll be in good
company, too. The area’s business movers and shakers keep this
place on their short list of lunch destinations.
