Café Pacific
Consistency and excellence are the standards for success in life and with restaurants.
One of our most consistent performers is Café Pacific in Highland Park Village. And excellence is a prerequisite
for survival in this neighborhood. Year after year, its winning formula keeps working. The look of the place is
subtle elegance: white linen, dark wood, etched glass. The feel of the place is confidence and power: sophisticated
clientele; smooth service. From day one Café Pacific has been pleasing palates with the finest seafood specialties
in The Metroplex. Outstanding calamari ($6.90); sensational New England style clam chowder ($4.25); savory Dungeness
crab cakes ($8.90) are starters that prove the point from the outset. Luncheon specialties like almond crusted
sautéed sea bass ($11.50); horseradish crusted salmon ($10.90) or tortilla crusted red snapper ($11.90)
are sure to please. Or, choose from Café Pacific's "simple grills" and enjoy the fresh fish with
a choice of sauces including lemon-lime butter, spicy tomato basil or piccata caper. Other lunch favorites that
don't swim include a tender, grilled chicken breast ($8.90) and succulent skewers of filet mignon, served with
a Dijon aioli dipping sauce and match stick potatoes ($10.90). Good salads, too, like Southwestern Shrimp Salad
($8.90) full of plump, chilled shrimp, spicy Sonoma jack cheese, tortilla strips and avocado. You'll even find
a power-burger-one-half pound of freshly ground beef on a sour dough bun ($7.90). If a glass of wine suits your
occasion, you'll find several reasonably priced premium choices offered by the glass. Café Pacific is busy
but not too loud. It's a great place for important clients, the boss, or a special holiday lunch. Heck, move the
board meeting over here, you might get more accomplished. On second thought, adjourn the meeting and enjoy lunch.
Café Pacific is classy, but not stuffy.
