Ciudad—Authentic Mexican food with style from Joanne
Bondy and Monica Greene. Entrées shine. Pollo Verde, chicken
breast in a clay pot with masa dumplings, and chili relleno are

Salve!—Exciting flavors of Tuscany in a sleek,
contemporary setting from Janet and Phil Cobb. Impressive menu from

Tramontana—Preston Center restaurant comes into its own
after chef/owner James Neel takes over in Fall ’99. Tantalizing
goat cheese crusted chicken with cherry sauce and pancetta wrapped

Jeroboam—Lives up to "urban brasserie"
billing. Garreth Dickey’s menu changes daily. Caramelized onion
soup is zingy-licious. Incredible fruits de mer. 1501

El Pescador—Delightful Mexican coastal cuisine like Huachinango
al mojo de ajo—sautéed snapper in a garlic lime cream sauce.
Jorge Levy has just retained popular chef Chris Svalesen as

We Oui—Phil Romano’s French brasserie, American
style. Creative chef Nick Badovinus turns out satisfying rotisserie
chicken, steak frites, duck a l’orange and more.

Avanti Euro Bistro—Sophisticated French/Moroccan

The Silver Room—A work in progress in the former 8-0
Quadrangle location. Bryan Chambers "New American Fusion"
entrees are palate pleasers. Don’t miss five-spice Chilean

Jimmy Lu’s—Asian bistro with regional cuisine
executed by Mark Miller, Stephan Pyles protégé Glenn Terrell.
