Adelmo’s Ristorante

Take this pop-quiz, please.

The ideal place for lunch and dinner should include: great food, a varied menu plus daily specials, good wine selection, attentive service, friendly attitude, an atmosphere conducive to conversation, convenient location, all of the above.

If you selected all of the above, then you may move to the head of the class, but you would probably rather head to Adelmo’s.

Adelmo’s, if you’re unfamiliar, is one of our finest restaurant experiences. And proprietor, Adelmo Banchetti is a national treasure (or should be declared one).

This is what you expect upscale, no pretense, big city dining to be like.

Step inside the jewel-box of a restaurant and let the Mediterranean breezes caress you as you make your lunch-time selections.

Traditional favorites like Caesar Salad ($6.00) and Minestrone Soup ($3.95) are perfectly executed here.

Other good starter selections include crab cakes ($9.00), chunky and flavorful; tender, portabella mushroom ($6.75) grilled on polenta; and oh so tasty Duck Sausage ($8.00) grilled provencale.

For main courses, pray that Adelmo is serving Osso Buco on the day you arrive. The veal shank, braised with olive oil, white wine, stock and vegetables, is one of the finest representations of this dish anywhere.

Regulars also know to ask for another off the list item (available only when selection is outstanding), a big, beautiful veal chop fit for a king or a queen (with a hearty appetite).

Have no fear, the menu lists a terrific selection of favorites that are available everyday.

High on my list are lamb chops grilled on couscous with rosemary wine sauce ($13.50), marinated garlic chicken with rigatoni and marinara sauce ($9.75), red snapper gilled with white wine and lemon thyme sauce ($12.00), ravioli with goat cheese in a sundried tomato pesto sauce ($9.75) and fabulous Italian sausage with rigatoni and marinara ($9.75).

Excuse me, I’m overwhelmed with hunger. I’ll see you at Adelmo’s. The prices listed are from the lunch menu.

On the KRLD Restaurant Show Review Scale of One to Five Forks, Adelmo’s is a 4 Fork Restaurant.
That breaks down like this:
Food-4 Forks.
Service-4 Forks
Atmosphere-3 Forks
