Gourmet Ghoulash
Serves 4
1/2 lb. ground beef
1 onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 cups water
15 oz. canned diced tomatoes, with juices
8 oz. canned tomato sauce
1/2 cup dried pasta
1 tsp. dried oregano
Brown the ground beef in a large, deep skillet on medium-high heat,
about 8-10
minutes, stirring occasionally. Add onion and garlic and cook
for 2-3
minutes, until tender. Add remaining ingredients (and salt &
pepper to taste, if desired) and bring to a simmer on medium-high
heat.
Reduce heat to medium and cook, stirring occasionally, for 5-6
minutes,
until pasta is tender.
