Old Fashioned Downtown Dining By Jim White Chef William Guthrie is an urban pioneer. He's taken the bold step of opening a restaurant in downtown Dallas. He's ahead of the curve, but eventually they'll stop rolling up the sidewalks at night down there. The master chef is the former Executive Chef of the posh Hotel St. Germain in Dallas. Guthrie is serving breakfast, lunch and an early Friday dinner from his location just behind the main Dallas Public Library. The restaurant is located at Ervay and Wood Streets.
