Lions and Tigers and Bears,
oh Yeah!
"Zoo To Do"
A Benefit for the Dallas Zoo
More fun than a barrel of monkeys! Only this time the animals were asleep and the
humans were the wild bunch partying at the zoo. This seventh annual fundraiser for the zoo couldn't have gone smoother.
We salute the chefs and staff who put in the extra hours (on a hot, muggy night) to help keep improving the Marsalis
Park Zoo.
Cool as a cucumber chairman of Zoo To Do, Kent Rathbun is pictured
before the event with "Daddy" Jack Chaplain. They both served up tasty treats along with: Pith-helmeted
"Bwana" Richard Chamberlain peering through the jungle foliage to serve some delicious prime beef.
Bruno Mella and the gang from The Firehouse offered spicy treats.
George and Katie Brown are all smiles as they plan their new restaurant with Kent Rathbun (scheduled
to open in Spring '99).
The "friends in need" award goes to Bon Vivant's Executive Chef Dan O'Leary
helping his bud Eddie Cervantes serve-up Primo's great fajitas.
Dallas' most romantic restaurant and Greenville Avenue mainstay The Grape--with Executive Chef Jason
Gorman bringing some of his restaurant's cuisine and atmosphere to Zoo to Do.
One of our most energetic and creative chefs, Jim Anile from The Landmark at the Melrose Hotel is always
quick to help a cause.
The Mercury gets rave reviews and Executive Chef Chris Ward showed-off one of his favorite dishes.
